The Company was founded back in 1999 when the Operations started for the PDO. Midwesco was formed as a joint venture company between Crosco and local Omani sponsor namely Dr. Omar Zawawi. During this period Midwesco achieved the following operations results:
In period 2000 to 2003 increased number of units from 2 to 8 hoists (6 workover and 2 drilling rigs), and wire line units from 2 to 8. From 2003 to 2006 were working continuously with 7 hoist and 8 wire line units.
From Sept 2006 till Sept 2009 had worked an abandonment contract for PDO with 4 hoist and also were working as subcontractor with 2 wire line unit. At that moment 2 workower hoists and 2 drilling rigs were sent to Egypt. 2 workover hoists got back from Egypt by 2010 for PDO project.
After abandonment contract in the past the Company got current contract for Provision of Hoist Services with planned period from Sep 2009 till today and ongoing.
The current contract was initially started with 4 units then in 2011 extended to 5 units and in 2013 to 6 units with occasional engagement of slick line units in 2012 and 2013
Due to the business shrinkage in PDO the number of units reduced in 2016 and 2017 down to 3 which is the current business between MDW and PDO
